Grant by Stephen Adam of the town of Tenterden (Kent) to Thomas Ive of the same of a messuage which Philip Scot of Tenterdenne and Joan his wife sometime acquired from Walter Marchaunt and which upon the death of the said Joan, the grantor's mother, descended to him, situated in the town aforesaid on the denne of Menster and in the tenure of the abbot and convent of St. Augustine's, Canterbury, bounded by the king's highway to the south, the messuage of Robert Robyn to the west, the land of the aforesaid abbot and convent to the north, and the messuage of the heirs of John Botsforde and William Ive to the east. Given at Tenterden on the 12th day of May, 20 Richard II.
